Common Questions
Do I need to install browser add-ons?
No. Skillet is a native macOS application that operates directly on your system. There are no browser extensions, helper plug-ins, or other add-ons to manage.
How do I download and install Skillet?
Download the latest package from our download page, double-click the .pkg installer file, and launch the Skillet application. Follow the on-screen prompts to pair your account.
Why does Skillet require macOS system permissions?
Skillet requires Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions so that its local automation engine can read user interface coordinates, click buttons, and input text on your behalf. These parameters are managed locally under System Settings > Privacy & Security.
Where are my workflows and data saved?
All your recorded workflows (skills), run histories, and system configurations live locally inside the Skillet app on your Mac. The Skillify web dashboard is utilized solely for account authentication and downloading the installer.
Can Skillet automate custom internal systems?
Yes. Because Skillet operates natively at the macOS operating system level, it can automate any web portal, legacy desktop app, or proprietary internal software that runs on your Mac.
